Concept Design

As one of ten Australian emerging architecture practices invited to design a pair of houses for a Noosa residential development, ark proposed a carefully arranged composition of mesh-clad boxes. These enigmatic structures give nothing away about the program or contents by day, with even window openings concealed behind the ephemeral external skin. By night they glow from within, presenting an array of floating light apertures, themselves alluding in form and arrangement back to the houses' primary massing.
